Museum and Park Passes
PML offers free passes to the following local museums, parks, and cultural sites. Each pass has its own discounts and terms of use. Details below. These passes are generously provided to the library by the Friends of Prince Memorial Library.
Maine State Parks Vehicle Pass
- Stop by the library to check out the Maine State Parks Pass. This pass cannot be reserved and is available on a first-come, first served basis.
- Vehicle pass admits holder and occupants of vehicle to most Maine State Parks and historic sites for day-use facilities. A 17-person vehicle is the maximum size allowed.
- The pass cannot be used for camping in Maine State Park campgrounds.
- Because of its availability, we can only check the pass out to patrons for 72 hours. There will be increased fines of $10 per day for overdue passes.
Children's Museum + Theatre of Maine PORTLAND, MAINE — Offering a 50 percent discount on general admission for up to four people. Includes all programs that are free with admission. The pass is not valid for main-stage theatre productions or paid programs and does not entitle the holder to members-only events or benefits.
BOOTHBAY, MAINE — (May 1 to Oct. 23) Admits up to 2 adults and children for general admission at no cost.
- Tickets are printed by the PML circulation desk.
- Before you call or stop by the library, visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Garden website.
- Click on TICKETS at the top of the page. This will bring you to their events page.
- Click on TICKETS again. This will bring you to the general admission page.
- From there, you can research available dates and times. Do not place a reservation at this time. The library must do this for you in order for you to receive free admission.
- Once you have found an available date and time, call the library at 207-829-2215 to reserve your tickets. We will print your tickets for you for pickup before you go.
Farnsworth Museum
ROCKLAND, MAINE — Admits up to four adults. Children under 16 are free. PML can issue one pass per day, so call or stop by the circulation desk to reserve the pass.
BATH, MAINE — Admits one family of up to eight people for free general admission to the museum. PML can only issue one pass per day, so call or stop by the library to reserve the pass.
GRAY, MAINE — This pass provides a reduced admission fee of $5.00 for 8 people (3 years and older). It covers all non-reserved events, exhibits, trails, wildlife programs and special events at the park. PML issues one pass per day, so call the library to reserve a date.
PORTLAND, MAINE — This pass provides free entry for up to two adults and six children and is valid for general and special exhibition admissions. The library can only distribute one pass per day on a first-come-first-serve basis. Call the library at 829-2215 to reserve a date.
